Vietnam, with its population of 99 million, is experiencing GDP growth higher than neighbouring Indonesia and Malaysia and is also placed above the UK and global average.

The country has the largest proven oil reserves in Southeast Asia, standing at 4.4 billion bbl and its oil production in 2019 is estimated at 207,000 barrels per day, putting it fourth in the ASEAN region.

In 2020, Vietnam renewable energy consists nearly 10 per cent out of total energy mix. By 2030, it aims to further increase it to 20 per cent representing an attractive export market for green energy firms.
